Springin’ in the Kitchen!
I shared some photos of my kitchen over on Instagram so I thought I’d share some of them here as well. Been putting a few touches of spring here and there. I’m welcoming spring with open arms!
My daughter, Kayla, just made me that Farm Fresh sign on the wall in the photo below. I was tickled pink with it. She did a great job! The white bookshelf along the wall I painted a few weeks ago. It had been a dark blue-grey color. I really want a kitchen hutch there but am having trouble finding one that I like. I’ve been looking on Facebook Marketplace and Craigs List but they are all too country looking with all those scallops and things like that. I want clean lines. For now the old bookshelf will have to do. I took my coffee bar out. I was tired of it.
Does the Target Dollarspot make you do crazy things? You know, like decorating a little more for holidays than you normally would? Gets me everytime! The bunny candy jar, carrots, and spring dishtowels in the pic below came from there.
You know I have a few thrifted items there as well! The white frame on the chalkboard was a Goodwill find for 99 cents. It was a dark ugly color but now it’s white and crisp. The way my husband talks, you’d think I carry around a bucket of white paint with me at all times, ready to brush it on anything! (Not that I wouldn’t if I could.) I think he asks a least once a day or so about anything and everything, “You going to paint that white?” or, “I suppose you are going to paint that white” or “Don’t tell me. You are going to paint that white”.
My chalkboard is just a piece of cardboard painted with chalk paint that I put in the frame. I did a bit of little kid flower art on it.
Next thrifted item is that white bunny with the carrot in his hand. I picked him up back around Christmas at the Goodwill (99 cents) thinking he’d be cute on my Easter table with some other bunnies I have. He’s hopped onto the shelf and found a home for now.
I’ve collected some of these pitchers (and one coffee pot) below from Home Goods and Marshalls and a few from thrift stores. They make me happy!
You know I can’t have both sides of my kitchen clean at once for photos. Ha! I’m going to repaint my kitchen cupboards before long and then I’ll get some before and after pics of that for you.
Thanks for stopping in to take a peek into my kitchen. Please leave a comment. I love hearing from those of you who pass through.
Have a creative day,
