Hello Creative Friends,
Thought I’d share a quick project for ladies meeting favors. I think I shared these before but that was on my old blog and I couldn’t find it on this one so I’m sharing it again. It’s one of those easy ones.
This is basically just a piece of 7 3/4 x 2 piece of card-stock, scored and folded at 2 inches on each end to make a pouch. Then a hole punched in one end so it will hang on the bottle. It requires just a few embellishments. For mine I just used some of my scrap papers I had on hand and a stamped flower image for embellishment. You can add in any individual drink packet mix you want.
I updated the Lemonade Theme on the website and this would be a good one to go with that but can work with any of the Women’s Ministry Themes.
Follow a tutorial for this project on the Chick’n Scratch website.
Have a creative day,
Hello Creative Friends,
Here’s my entry for the Viva La Verve Week #2 Challenge. I love this verse and stamp. This is one of those weeks where I should really sit back and do what that verse says.
I used some K&Company scrapbook paper and embellished with some crochet trim, pearls, ribbon, and a button. I really wish the photo would have captured how vibrant the scrapbook paper is that I used. I tried taking it in different light, etc., etc., but finally gave up. The burgundy center of the flowers and the green leaves are really so pretty and I wish that would have showed up more.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello Creative Friends,
It’s been awhile since I’ve kept up with my blog, but I thought I’d share a card today that I did for the Viva La Verve March Week 1 Challenge. Of course I’m getting started a little late on the March challenge but hopefully I can catch up. I’ve already got Week 2′s card done and I’ll share that with you tomorrow.
I finally got to open my package of scapbooking paper I’d gotten from the Stampin’ Up! awhile back. Always fun to cut into a new pack! The sentiment is from the Verve Always on My Mind stamp set. I embellished with some crochet trim and buttons. The flower is made from a punch and I used my scissors to deepen in between the petal lines. I always love how white pearls take on whatever color they are placed with, don’t you?
It took me a little while to finish this card as I haven’t made many cards lately and I felt a little rusty. It finally came together for me.

Hi Friends,
Don’t we all need something with just a little bling? And I’m sure all ladies could use yet another purse! I’m so excited to share this paper-craft with you today. It was such a fun little project. I’ve seen these little purses around the web for awhile but I was just so sure that it was going to be a complicated project. Thanks to Mel over at Mel Stampz Blog, this was an easy project. She made the template and directions a snap to follow. Why didn’t I try this one sooner?
Here’s what my version of Mel’s purse turned out to be. I started with some some Ocean Tides Card Stock from Papertrey Ink, which is a nice heavy weight. I embossed some metallic card stock in a color called, “ice” for the front and back panels. It ended up being such a sturdy little purse.
I did do the sides slightly different than in Mel’s tutorial in that I folded the bottom flap up first and then folded the sides inward. It worked out better that way because of how I did the punch border along the bottom. I just wish you could see the reflective tones of the metalic card stock in the photo better.
Find Mel’s Tutorial along with her template for this project on her blog.
Tip For You!
Whenever I attach self-adhesive rhinestones or gems to projects like this where they may get bumped off, I add an adhesive glue dot to the bottom of them before I attach them. I never trust just that adhesive those gems come with (no matter what brand they are) when it comes to adding them to 3D projects.
I’m going to use my purse to hold a little gift that I need to give.
Have a great day.
