Hi Creative Friends,
I know some of you dispense with your women’s ministry meetings during the summer but some of you are still holding either ladies meetings or church wide events so I thought I’d share a few of the summer serving ideas that I’ve seen from around the web.
Make a Smores Buffet.
The source doesn’t say what is used to place the sticks for
the marshmallows in but I think it looks like rice perhaps?
Source Martie Knows Parties
Display and serve corn on the cob on skewers/dowls.
Source Frilly Milly Events
Serve ice cream in jars on ice.
I thought this might be fun for a small group as you’d have to invest in the jars.
I know sometimes our dollar store carries similar ones.
Source Pen and Paper Flowers
Serve watermelon pre cut on ice.

Here’s a few summer devotionals from the website.

Hello Creative Friends,
Sharing today an easy craft for favors for your ladies meetings. I love this one because it doesn’t require a lot of paper-crafting tools that you may not have. These are little purses that are perfect to hold lip balms. They are made from a template from Milkwood Designs. Be sure to use the template link that says “Adobe Acrobat” on their site so that you get the full size one.
Important Step: When you print it out, print it at 75% of actual size in order to get the cute little size like I’ve done in the photo. If you don’t know how to do that — when your print screen comes up, choose the “custom” option and set the scaling size to 75%.
For these you just cut out the template, score the lines, fold up and embellish. For my flower embellishment, I used a 1 and 1/4 inch round punch, just cut little slits around the edges, and attached a stick on gem. I placed in Nivea lip balms with glue dots. To close them I also just used a glue dot.
These don’t take a lot of card-stock so I used some card-stock and heavier weight designer paper I had in my leftovers. Finished size is approximately 2 and 3/4 inches tall and 3 and 3/4 inches at the widest part (bottom) in width.
