Hello Creative Friends,
Here’s my entry for the Viva La Verve Week #2 Challenge. I love this verse and stamp. This is one of those weeks where I should really sit back and do what that verse says.
I used some K&Company scrapbook paper and embellished with some crochet trim, pearls, ribbon, and a button. I really wish the photo would have captured how vibrant the scrapbook paper is that I used. I tried taking it in different light, etc., etc., but finally gave up. The burgundy center of the flowers and the green leaves are really so pretty and I wish that would have showed up more.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello Creative Friends!
Today I’m going to share one of the cards I sent out this past month. I dont think I’ve shared this one but I did just turn another year older so I apologize if I already shared this one–might just be my bad memory. I used one of the Verve Stamps. Those have become my favorites lately. Party because of the Scripture ones they sell but also I love the Plain Janes because they are individual and I don’t have to buy a whole set that I may probably end up using only one stamp from.
I love this paper. It’s from that K&Company (Best of Brenda Walton) pad that I keep using. I thought it went wonderfully with the Stampin Up Old Olive card stock and ribbon.
I’ve been working on my Women’s Ministry Website so I haven’t been posting to my blog much as I’ve been quite busy trying to rework my whole website. Got the majority of ministry printables linked back in over there and the majority of my articles I’ve written on Women’s Ministry back up.
Thanks for stopping in. Would love for you to leave a comment while you are here!

Hello Creative Friends,
Today’s the big day for the Verve Anniv-Verve-sary Blog Hop and I’m so thrilled to join in since I’ve become a real fan of their stamps. I find their stamps to be encouraging and fun stamps and there’s a lot of Bible verses and inspirational sayings which I of course just love. It’s their 3 year anniversary and I wish them many more years of further success!
If you’ve already been hopping along, you arrived here from Martha’s Blog. If not, head on over to Julee’s Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what’s a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there’s a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.
My daughter, Tara (my 12 year old) told me this card looked “so Verve-y!”. She said the colors were Verve colors. I guess because Verve packaging is aqua and brown and the website color, aqua. I decided I couldn’t go wrong with a “Verve-y” card for the Verve Anni-Verve-sary so this is the one I decided to use!
For my card, I used some brown and aqua patterned paper along with one of Verve’s newer stamps (from the June release), Always On My Mind. It’s a great set for general thinking of you cards which I sometimes need a lot.
I stamped the little hanging flower-ettes (not sure what to call them) directly onto the card and then re-stamped them on aqua card stock, cut the flower part out and glittered with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter and added them with foam mounts to the ones I’d already stamped on the card. The middles of them have mini brads. I layered a Top Note die-cut along the top of the card and the rest is pretty self explanatory.
Thanks for stopping in. Be sure to hop on over to Wendy’s Paper Therapy Blog to see what Verve-y goodness she’s cooked up for you!
Remember, just stop into the Verve Blog for the master list if you want to start at the beginning of the hop.

Hello Creative Friends,
I had to make a card for my husband’s great-aunt’s 90th birthday this week and I wanted it to be kind of feminine and pretty so I decided on some floral patterned paper. I got a pad of K&Company paper (The Best of Brenda Walton) from Michaels this week with my 50% coupon and I’m so excited about it. It’s got all kind of florals, some ginghams, a little vintage, and a little bit of everything in it. Isn’t it amazing how a little bit of pretty paper can bring so much joy? Especially when you get it half off:)
This card fit into one of my 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 envelopes but pretty snug so I made an envelope out of the patterned paper just a little larger than that to accomodate for the embellishments (and so that my husband’s aunt had no trouble getting it out or back in the envelope if she wanted to). I just took apart an envelope and used that as the pattern and enlarged it. I think hand-delivered cards are so fun because you can perk up the card and the envelope any way you want.
I liked how I put that tag and library clip with the ribbon on my last rose card so I did that again only used a small all silver binder clip this time and added ribbons to the top of the clip.
Thanks for stopping in. Hope you have a creative day!
