Summer is upon us.  I’m glad because Winter was way too cold.  I think I missed Spring though.  It doesn’t seem like Spring ever showed up here where we live in California.  I think it just jumped right to Summer.

That’s okay though.  My kids got out of school last week and we are getting ready to go to the Santa Cruz boardwalk before long.  That’s our typical summer vacation – taking the kids to the Boardwalk and letting them go on the rides.  We normally go dip our feet in the waves while we are there.  What’s more fun than letting your feet sink into the sand and waiting for the waves to come rushing over your legs and feet?  When the waves go out again, that’s when my kids scramble to find as many shells as they can find.  Me too.  I’m a kid at heart:)
