Welcome Friends,

So glad you’ve dropped in to learn a little more about me.  My name is Julia Bettencourt and this blog is a place for me to share my creative endeavors with you.  Crafting, baking, and decorating are just a few of my favorite things.   It seems I go in spurts as to what my crafty whims are:)

Just a little about me, I’m a mom of 3 kids.  Our oldest daughter is married.  My two younger (son and daughter) are still at home.  One just starting high school this fall and the other starting junior high.  My husband and I met at a Christian college and have been married almost 30 years.

I am a Christian and I have been involved in women’s ministry for the local church for a long time and you can visit my website for women’s ministry here if you’d like to take a look at my devotionals and find lots of tips and goodies for revitalizing your women’s ministry.  Many of the posts you will find here on the blog may be related to women’s ministry.

My username on some of my craft message boards is 2BCreative so I thought I’d use that in my blog name.  I finally came up with Made 2 B Creative because of the fact that God gave me this desire to create.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and visit with me.  I love comments so be sure to say hello.  Comments are not automatically activated but previewed first so there will be a delay before they show up.  If you see something you can’t figure out how to make or want to know what a product is or where I got it, feel free to ask.

Have a blessed day,

I love the pictures of the cards you make. I have tried to get into doing cards because it is a smaller craft I felt I could to but cannot come up with ideas on my own it seems. My daughter is really big into scrapbooking but I felt cards were easier for me. Do you have an area that the items needed to make the cards or crafts can be bought? I would love to make some of them.

Hi, Julia, nice to meet you, I found your page looking for help because I have just been nominated for the Women’s Ministry in my Church, and I have never than this, I have been a Deaconess for a few years now but now I will have another responsibility. I am excited and a little scary too, but thank God I found you I am sure you will be of help. I love to do crafts, I crochet, do some knitting now I am into loom knitting which is fun, I am making tiny hats for premature babies with AIDS, we also do crochet blankets and Quilts for them. I can paint, make cards and bead ornaments in other things. I just want to thank you for sharing with everybody I am sure you are a blessing to many of us who are new. I hope we become good friends. I recently started a women’s group at our small church. I really had no idea what I was doing, because it was all new to me. BUT, I feel so strongly that when women get together in the name of the Lord, great things can happen. I happened to stumble across your website as I looked for devotional material. What a help it has been! Thank you!

    Dear Julia,
I have used so many of you thems and ideas in my women’s ministry.
I want to thank you and pray will contiune to bless you so that you can bless others for the cause of Christ.

I like the idea of the pocketbooks and believe that I am crafty enough to prepare and use in the women’s ministry.

Hi Julia, I came across your blog a few weeks ago and have been reading along. I’m loving it! Keep up the good mood.
Recently, a close friend of mine created a website and I would like to share it with you, as I think you would like it too. It’s called The Birthday Times (thebirthdaytimes.com), and gives you the newspaper of the day of your birthday. It shows real events and facts of the day you were born. I already knew a few projects like this, but I think this one stands out a little bit from the rest.
    So, here’s my tip! :)
    Thanks,
    Regina

    Julia,
We have just begun a Women’s Ministry group in our small, country church and your site is such a blessing to me. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us!

I love your site and have used it several times. My circle of women do what we call a “Joyous Jamboree” every other year. We do a brunch with good food, singing, skits, door prizes etc. We have used your creative ideas with members added their own to some for several years now. It is for all the women of our church and it is free. I have appreciated your site so much. This year we are doing “Everything is Coming up Flowers”, however I have looked at many sites and have not come up with a skit yet. I did find one very short one “Lazy Daisy” but it is too short and doesn’t quite fit the bill. Do you have any suggestions where we might find one?

  • Kathy Meissner says:

Thank you for all you do. I love your site.

Greeting in the name of Jesus… Julia

Wow wow wow. Im so humbled to have looked into your website. I am a member of Calvary Christian church pretoria (South Africa) and trully speaking we dont have much attendance when it comes to our Ladies and Womens Ministry meetings. But after jotting a few ideas and getting a look at this website, I am encouraged and have Faith that the power of God is working and our ministry will never be the same again.

Thank you so much for sharing and will right back with postive outcomes

God bless you and your work:)
