Hi Everyone,

I know!  I know!  It’s been forever since I posted on my blog.  We did get a new computer which goes in lightning speed (something I’ve never been accustomed to) and so maybe I’ll do more on the computer now.

Today I’m sharing some quick and easy magnets I made.  I have saltboxes and Americana decor in my house so I’m always on the lookout for cute magnets for my fridge because everything gets posted there and I never have enough magnets.  Well, cute ones:)  I found some mini tiles I’d gotten a long time ago to craft magnets with peel and stick decals and so I decided I’d print out some cute saltbox graphics from online and Mod Podge those into magnets.  Of course my printer was out of color ink so I was going through some old country catalogs and found some photos of some cute sheep and saltboxes so I cut those out and used those.

I just cut the image to size and applied a thin coat of Mod Podge to attach it.  Then went over it with Mod Podge.  Don’t put too thick a layer or it will wrinkle.  After it dried it looked too stark around the edges so I sponged on some ink to give it kind of an aged look and that worked great.  I added magnets and that’s it.

These shine and are so pretty in person but it’s hard to get that in the photo without a reflection getting in the way.

Have a creative day,

    Hi Julia,
Just had to let you know how I love your web site. I have used your devotions for programs at our women’s group at church. They just love them. One was the lady bug and had fun planning and giving the program. This Spring we used the Spring Cleaning for Heart and Soul. And I have the Americana theme in my home also. Don’t know why but just love it. So wanted to THANK YOU for what you do and for sharing your talent God has given you with us. Marge

What a great idea! I love your website. Have used many ideas from you already and hope to use more. Thank you for sharing your ideas with the rest of us.

I like your craft idea. I’m always looking for craft ideas for a ladies national conference time. I like simple things that don’t take much time since we have to do it in a few hours.

I used some of your ideas for a Mother’s Day Tea. It was not very well attended so it was sad. We just went to doing dinners for Mother’s day on Sunday instead of any other day of the week. I haven’t had opportunity to plan another event.

I LOVE these. I think I may try these for my next women’s meeting. Can I ask what kind of ink you used when you sponged it on the edges? Thanks – a missionary/pastor’s wife in Hungary

Thank you so much for your wonderful website. I have used many of your ideas and some downloads for our Women’s Missionary Ministry as well as for our Teens. The Lord has truly blessed you with the gift of ministering and the talent to think of so many ideas!! Cindy
