If it wasn’t for the lighthouse.

I haven’t shared any of my cards lately so I thought I’d share one today.  This one I made for my brother Brad’s birthday.  Did I get it in the mail late?  Well of course I did.

Lighthouse Stamped CardThe lighthouse image is from an Inkadinkado stamp.

When I see a lighthouse scene, that old “Lighthouse” song by Ronny Hinson comes to mind.  I love the chorus.

And I thank God for the lighthouse,
I owe my life to Him.
For Jesus is the lighthouse
And from the rocks of sin;
He has shone a light around me
That I could clearly see,
If it wasn’t for the lighthouse
Tell me where would this ship be?

Lighthouse Stamped Card Inside

On the inside of my card I used one of my stamps from a Verve set, Small Celebrations.  I love the font on those.

I perked up the envelope by just putting a piece of scrap paper over the bottom of the envelope under the flap and stamping the top half of the lighthouse scene on the flap.  I like how that turned out.  When I’m mailing cards I have to be so careful not to have anything sticking up so I opted just for some ribbon around a piece of cardstock at the bottom of the card.

Thanks for stopping in.  I appreciate all of you who leave comments and email me.  You are truly a blessing.

Have a creative day,

Have a creative day!
