It’s Back to School Time and this is the perfect time to stock up on some items for your women’s ministry.  Whether you need pens to use at your monthly meetings or paper and office supplies, usually you can catch some sales or the clearance prices after a short time.  Stores don’t like to keep all of these supplies on hand for too long so they mark them down pretty quickly.

Throughout this month I’m going to be sharing with you some different school supply items that you can use in your ministry.  Today I’m sharing an idea for mini notebooks to make a prayer journal.  I’m using the mini Composition Books but you could use spiral ones or other small types as well.

The notebooks I used for these measure 4 1/2 by just over 3 inches.  Right now they are 3 for 88 cents at Target.  I haven’t checked elsewhere lately.  I normally stock up on these at the Back to School clearance sales.

All I’ve done is cover the notebooks with scrapbook paper.  I left the black spines alone and butted the paper up against them.  Next I printed out the printable labels (which I’m sharing with you) and layered them onto the notebooks.  I added ribbons to the journals to give them a little punch and that’s it.

I made you two size labels in case you wanted to use one on a larger notebook.  Please don’t save the samples but click the links to the PDF files instead.

Hi, I love these Prayer Journals and am planning on making them for my ladies Bible Study group. I have never done any scrapbooking before so my question is what type of adhesive should I use to adhere the scrapbook paper to the mini-journal?

    Thank you,
    Laura

I was printing the Large size covers for prayer journals and the second one that prints has a large window and then a small window of the same picture over it. Is there a different way to print larger ones so this doesn’t happen.

Kimberly, I haven’t had anyone else have any trouble. I went and checked the file and there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with it and printed okay. Maybe try to redownload it. Are you using the most updated form of Adobe Reader? I can’t think of anything else other than it didn’t download fully or something.

Love this idea! I am beginning a Ladies Bible study in October so I made these for my ladies along with the Bible Study pocket folders!

Thank you so much for all your creativity and especially for sharing your ideas!

  • I am becoming s Bible study leader for Esther in a couple of weeks. Can you give me some pointers?
