#7 Karen C: The pillow boxes certainly make clever favors. There are so many things that could be included in them, and can be used with many themes. Thank you for your willingness to share again.
Karen, I’ll be emailing you later today to get a mailing address to send the boxes. (Winner was chosen by random.org) Thanks for participating.
Morning Everyone,
I enjoyed all your comments from yesterday about what you were learning in Sunday School and church.
We are down to the 10th Day of Give Aways to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of my CLM Website. Hope you will all join in on commenting today. I am giving away another “crafty” prize but you don’t have to be crafty to make these.
Today I’m giving away to one winner a total of 50 pillow box die cuts made from the Sizzix Pillow Box Die. The paper I used for these are all in springy color patterns. Your pillow boxes will come cut-out with the score lines so all you have to do is fold them, add some adhesive, and put them together. There’s one seam down the side to place adhesive and you can seal up the ends. A lot of times I don’t seal the ends but put what I want inside, then wrap ribbon from side to side and tie around it so I can skip that step.
Be sure to comment on today’s post (4/30/12) before Midnight to qualify for the give away!
These will come in assorted paper designs. I used several designs from the 1st Edition Spring Feast Paper Pad. A photo of that is over to the left to give you an idea. I didn’t use all of the papers but a majority of them.
These pillow boxes are pretty small and hold just a few candies or a lip balm. They are 3 inches by 2 inches with a depth of less than 3/4 of an inch. I’ll send you some of the little butterfly cut-outs (like on the samples) to match your boxes, but there are all kinds of ways to doll these up. Just go over to Splitcoast Stampers and look in their gallery.
Be sure to stop in tomorrow for the last day of Anniversary Give Aways!
For the give away today I will be choosing one winner from today’s comments and announce the winner here tomorrow.
In order to qualify you must.
1. Comment on this post. Let me know if your church will be doing anything special for Mother’s Day this year (holding a banquet, handing out small gifts, etc.) or share what you did last year.
2. Make sure you fill out your name (first is okay) and email address when commenting (it won’t be shown publicly). If you are the winner today, I’ll be emailing you to get a mailing address.
Please Note: Comments do not show up automatically. I’ll need to approve them first. I get a lot of spam on my blog daily and a lot of them are not nice so I need to check them first.
Comments need to be posted by 12:00 Midnight today (4/30) Pacific Standard Time to qualify for the download give-away.

We will be having a Mother’s Day program at our women’s ministery.Everyone brings a small wrapped gift from the Dollar Store and we vote for Mother of the year. Whoever gets picked receives all the gifts.Plus all Mothers attending church will receive something.
Hello, Wow, I have been visiting your website for many years now and was inspired by your ideas and thoughts. Thank you. This year for Mother’s Day we are having a Tea. We have about 20 women who volunteer to host a table of 8 women. Each is creative and beautiful. Last year we had tables that used a safari theme, a diamonds are a girl’s best friend theme, a Paris theme, as well as ethnic tables. This year we are honoring our senior women, we call Precious Pearls, and giving them corsages with pearls. Our entire women’s group get involved and bring their mothers too! Our theme is Celebrating the Fragrance of Friends!

Good Morning, Julia! Thank you so much, again, for all you continue to do to help with women’s ministry ideas! Our church is hosting a mother/daughter brunch this year on Saturday prior to Mother’s Day. The theme is “God Is Wild About You.” All the tables will be decorated in animal prints/theme….and the table hostesses are competing for a prize, which will be provided by the women’s ministry of the church. There will be door prizes as well that all ladies will have an opportunity for, and there’s going to be a silent auction, with items being auctioned that have been donated by people in the church (i.e. beauty salon services, Mary Kay products, handmade jewelry, gourmet food items, etc.)
