I’m sharing another idea for taking advantage of school supplies for your ladies ministry at Back to School time.  Today’s tip is to use a Teacher’s Planner if you like taking attendance at your ladies meetings.  You can get these Teacher’s Record Books at the Dollar Tree and they have some in the $1 bins at Target.  You can probably get some at other places too but you know how I like those dollar deals.

I’ve used these before for Ladies Ministry because it has a place to put in the ladies names and there’s already grids that work nicely for recording attendance.  I’ve always liked to record attendance at monthly meetings and Bible studies so that I can send a card to the ones that missed or at least make a phone call to tell them I missed them.  I normally just put the names in my attendance book of those ladies that attend regularly or at least come once in awhile.

Most of these teacher books have a monthly spot and then weekly grids for that month.  I know you don’t have meetings each day but you can make it to work for you.   I like using one page for each month.  You can write in the month at the top, then check a mark for the attendance by one of the days.  With the extra space on the grid, you’ll have room to write out a note of why someone didn’t come if you know.  It’s also a great place to write in prayer requests from each lady  if you take prayer requests at your meetings.    It’s better than keeping those notes on scraps of paper.  At your next meeting, you’ll have right before you what was mentioned last time and you can move the prayer requests along for that meeting.

The page across where you take attendance for that month is a great place to write out your agenda or itinerary for that meeting and  little notes of what you need to remember.

This planner from the Dollar Tree has a page for contact information so you can put your ladies names and info there and also some pages for “parent communication” which you can use for reference notes about planning with your team members and helpers if you want.   Some of these books have yearly calendars printed on the inside covers too which is very helpful.

I’ve used these before as is but you can perk these up by just covering it with scrapbook paper.  I know I’ve been ordered attendance books from church supply companies to use but I really hate those things. They never give you enough space to write out names or they are in a tiny size.  Maybe I don’t like them because I write so big:)
