My son has been bugging me all summer to make some Snickerdoodles so I finally took the time to make some yesterday.  My family loves these cookies.

I use Emeril’s Snickerdoodle Recipe.  They always turn out really good.   You do have to mix the butter, shortening, and sugar together for the total five minutes like the recipe calls for though.  A couple times I was in a hurry and did not mix it the entire time like it says and they did not turn out as well so now I always make sure to do that step for the length it says.

I love making these cookies for gifts.  Everyone raves over them, although all I do is follow the recipe:)  They are great for bake sales too.  You can find Emeril’s recipe for Snickerdoodles here.
