Monthly Archives: March 2011

Hello Creative Friends,

Here’s my entry for the Viva La Verve Week #2 Challenge.   I love this verse and stamp.  This is one of those weeks where I should really sit back and do what that verse says.

I used some K&Company scrapbook paper and embellished with some crochet trim, pearls, ribbon, and a button.  I really wish the photo would have captured how vibrant the scrapbook paper is that I used.  I tried taking it in different light, etc., etc., but finally gave up.  The burgundy center of the flowers and the green leaves are really so pretty and I wish that would have showed up more.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello Creative Friends,

It’s been awhile since I’ve kept up with my blog, but I thought I’d share a card today that I did for the Viva La Verve March Week 1 Challenge.  Of course I’m getting started a little late on the March challenge but hopefully I can catch up.  I’ve already got Week 2′s card done and I’ll share that with you tomorrow.

I finally got to open my package of scapbooking paper I’d gotten from the Stampin’ Up! awhile back.   Always fun to cut into a new pack!  The sentiment is from the Verve Always on My Mind stamp set.   I embellished with some crochet trim and buttons.  The flower is made from a punch and I used my scissors to deepen in between the petal lines.  I always love how white pearls take on whatever color they are placed with, don’t you?

It took me a little while to finish this card as I haven’t made many cards lately and I felt a little rusty.  It finally came together for me.

In My Craft Basket:

Stamps:  Verve:  Always on My Mind
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Classic Blue Bayou, MS Ink Marker (faux stitching)
Paper:  Stampin’ Up! Springtime Vintage
Card Stock: White and Ocean Tides (Papertrey)
Tools/Accessories:   Buttons, Crochet Trim, Crochet Thread, Half back Pearl,
Extra Lg. Fancy Flower Punch, Various oval shape punches
