Hello Creative Friends,
I’m back from a few days of vacation. We took our kids to Santa Cruz where they enjoyed a few days of fun and rides at the Boardwalk and looking for shells on the beach. We all had a great time!
I was privleged to be asked to participate in a blog hop to honor Julee Tilman on her birthday. Julee is the owner and illustrator of Verve Stamps. She is such a sweet person and God has blessed her with such a sweet and sunny spirit. Happy Birthday Julee!
For Julee’s card I used the Verve set, Black Tie Birdies, along with some black and white patterned paper. I stamped the birdie on some white card stock and then stamped it again on bright pink card stock and cut out his wing and made it raised. I distressed the edges of the patterned paper slightly and added some buttons and ribbon to embellish.
There’s some pretty printed balloons in the Black Tie Birdies set which I stamped with black ink on the pink card stock for the card I originally had in mind, but it was a little too busy so I ended up redesigning my card. I just loved the balloons so I whipped up a bag of birthday wishes for Julee and added my balloons to that. The bag template is from Belle’s Printables.
Note for Julee: The bag is filled with genuine California sunshine, smiles, encouragement, blessings, and all the happy things you need for a beautiful birthday!
Thanks for stopping in. Your next stop is Lynda Benton’s blog. Be sure to head over and see what she has created for Julee’s special day.
If you missed the beginning of the Birthday Blog Hop for Julee, just pop on over to the Verve Blog to start at the beginning. You won’t want to miss a thing!
Have a creative day!
